Bothy Mhòr sleeps up to 2 people. In the living area, there is one double futon sofa bed, TV, heater and a table with stools. There is a separate bedroom with double bed and storage space. The shower room contains a shower, toilet, sink, and vanity unit. The kitchen area is compact but is well equipped with a fridge, freezer compartment, toaster, microwave oven, kettle and cutlery and utensils. *Please note, there is no oven or hob in this unit.

Outside the bothy there is a garden area, BBQ, picnic table and beautiful views over Lagavulin Bay. On-site parking.

We provide all beddings and towels.

Please note, dogs are not allowed in our Bothy. Please try one of our pods instead.

Wonderful view
It is a nice surroundung with lovely view over the bay.A cosy warm place to stay.We only thought that a citchenette would also have a gas pit ot electric cookingplate. But we only had a airfreyer, microwave and water cooker to our disposal.Netherthrless it was a wonderful stay.We had a lovely week with mice walks.

Cozy Glamping Pods in Islay
We stayed in the Laphroaig Storm Pod on our visit. The pods were absolutely fantastic and a great lodging option in Islay. Their location is so peaceful and quite and easy access to the Lagavulin, Laphroaig and Ardbeg distilleries. The beds were comfy and cozy and the kitchenette area provided all the basics for sustenance needed during our distillery discovery trip. Each pod has a place to park, a small deck and grill and a wonderful view of the Ocean. We even had a little glimpse at some wildlife and it was magical. We will be returning to these pods on our next visit to Islay.

Cancellation policy

If a cancellation is made more than 30 days before the date of arrival then a full refund will be issued, apart from a 10% admin charge.

If a cancellation is within 30 days of the date of arrival we reserve the right to issue a refund only if we are able to re-sell the Pod. If we can re-sell the Pod and issue a refund, again there will be a 10% admin charge.

We strongly advise you take out the appropriate levels of travel insurance so you can have peace of mind that your costs will be covered, should you need to cancel your holiday for any reason. We recommend that guests have an appropriate level of travel insurance in place for their needs.

Pod Guest Rules

No smoking – Our pods have a strict no smoking policy, smoking is not permitted inside the pods at all.

Pets - Well behaved dogs are allowed in our pods (at an extra fee), however we do not allow dogs in our Tin House.
Please do not allow any dogs up on furniture, including the beds.
*If guests do bring a dog to the Tin House at all, or to a pod without paying the extra fee, guests will be charged a £50 surcharge cleaning fee.

Check in/ check out time – Guests may check in as early as 4:30pm and must be checked out no later than 10:00am. If you would like to check-in early, please call the office to see if your Pod is ready as this is sometimes possible.

Furnishings - Guests may not move furnishings or interfere with the electrical network or any other installations in the Pod without the consent of the Pod management.

Damage - Guests are obliged to pay for any damage they cause, unless they are able to prove that they are not responsible for this damage.

Bedding and Towels - All bedding and towels are provided for the number of people booked into a Pod. If guests wish to bring their own bedding they are more than welcome to.

Cleaning - Please leave the pod how you found it. If guests leave the pod in an inadequate state e.g. leaving dirty dishes to be cleaned, they will be charged an additional cleaning fee.

Noise - No loud music after 10.30pm.

Electric Cars - Please DO NOT charge any electric cars via our pods. If any guests do this, they will be charged an extra fee. If you have an emergency and are low on charge, please call our office on 01496 300129 for assistance.

Travel Insurance - We strongly advise you take out the appropriate levels of travel insurance so you can have peace of mind that your costs will be covered, should you need to cancel your holiday for any reason. We recommend that guests have an appropriate level of travel insurance in place for their needs. Islay Glamping Pods does not take any responsibility for ferry cancellations.

Guests are obliged to observe the provisions of these House Rules. In the event that a guest is in breach of these rules, the management has the right to repudiate the agreement on the provision of accommodation services before the agreed period has elapsed. Any serious misconduct can result in the guest being evicted from the premises. Failure to comply with the rules may result in guests being charged additional fees.
